So this weekend we had the whole Rotule family together to film a video in Quebec City! I have not skated that hung over in a while... and when Ludo says he'll be there at 6am to pick you up.... he's there at 5:45am to pick you up. The Tremblay cousins skate to the sound of birds singing. I love the concept; it communicated the vibes of that day really well.

So this week Kevin got his new suit! And while in contact with Kelcey he decided to take the opportunity to get to know the company a little better. Which I'm sure is something a lot of people would be interested in. Here's a sneak peak:

Hey Kelcey, how old is NJK and where is it located ? I’ve been running NJK for 28 years. I started in my parents garage when I was 13 making suits for my own motorcycle racing. It’s just blossomed from there. I never planned on doing leathers for a living. I went to college and planned to be a “regular” business guy, but things didn’t work out that way. We started in San Clemente, California and after college, I moved to Mammoth Mountain to be snowboard bum for a season. I spent 10 years in Mammoth. The leathers gig was cool because I could snowboard all day and make suits at night. I’d get 150 days on the mountain every year and had a killer night job making suits.

So the World Slalom Championships are going down this weekend in Ottawa. A lot of our Quebec riders are gonna be there racing hard! Une Journée das les Laurentides: A visit from Ontario

Here at TeamQuebec we love guests. This summer my apartment turned into a bit of a skatehouse. It’s always great to show people around and if it wasn’t for them I don’t know if I’d wake up at 5am after 2 hours of sleep to go skate. Jepp, Jim, Lahey, and Zack were as good as guests get when they came dow for our Montreal Slide Jam. It’s awesome to have a little visit from friends that you don’t see often. A really wet day at the Birdcage Challenge!

Really fun event. Organization was great for a first time event and the racecourse was challenging. Looking forward to next year.
